I think Racheal McAdams, Christina aguilera (she certainly has her hair and style down), Naomi Watts ("The Ring", "King Kong"), Drew Barrymore, any other suggestions? Or, who of this list would be the best candidate to play Marilyn Monroe?

I lean toward Drew Barrymore, she has the wide eyed innocent look that Marilyn Monroe had and yet she could convey that she was not a choir girl.

I think they should bring in an unknown who can act and sing if need be, that would be better and we wouldn't have a pre-judgement of what the performance would be like.
