Man walked on the Moon..... Abbey Road was released. So many things happened in 1969 that it was the most pivotal year in the history of modern man. The changes help end the Vietnam war. Kent State shootings. It was the height of the 1960's that ushered in the early 1970's. Wood Stock happened August 15-18th. It changed music.
Joe Namath predicted the Jets win over the Colts in Super Bowl III. It made the Super Bowl the game to watch.
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,Romeo and Juliet. The Beatles were recording the Let it Be Album and heading to a break up.
Muhammed Ali was still banned from boxing but would have it overturned by the Supreme Court the next year.
The people rose up against the statust quo and declared they wanted change. No more war. Peace Love and understanding.
Of course they all became Republicans and screwed everything up. Not all of them. A young Steven Tallarico got an STD at Woodstock. You know him as Steven Tyler of Areosmith.
