Suck it up. Sorry to sound rude, but don't be so selfish. She needs you more than you know! I know how she must feel. And if you leave her, only God knows how she'd react. Please, just stick it out. Listen when she needs you. She might act this way because you won't tell her. Sit down with her, and be honest. She needs that. She needs your direction. I'm sure she loves you.

Some people deal with issues in different ways. Was she obnoxious before her dad left? Maybe her way of dealing with her dad's disappearance is trying to find acceptance and attention from her classmates, and being obnoxious is the only way she knows how.
Don't drop her as a friend. Listen to what she has to say when you're around her and try to be understanding.
Join some sort of activity if you need some time apart or limit MSN and phone conversations.
Try introducing her to people she doesn't already know so she has other people to talk to as well. All that she's looking for is some sort of acceptance.

If she truly is your friend you should be able to communicate with her and let her know she is driving you crazy. Maybe she will acknowledge how you feel and adjust while around you. If her dad left and it is bothering her that may b the reason she is driving you crazy. Just talk to her!

Talk to her about it. Just be nice when you say it. Like I know you probably realize this but you sometimes can be a little childish. Give a few examples then be like I want to be there for you when you need me but I would like it if you acted a little more mature sometimes. So can we just try to work it out??

Maybe you should tell her that she's being obnoxious and its buggin you. She might not be aware that shes doin it. But if she's truely getting on your nerves then you shouldnt have to deal with her ****, even if her Dad just left, thats not your problem.

i would talk to her; tell her you need some space. i would still be friends with her altough she may seem annoying, i have one friend who's always complaining about everything. she'd be really sad if you said you didnt want to be friends anymore good luck! =)

get her to give you some peace by manipulating her to have other close friends and manipulating her to stick off of you by sticking on to them a little. then distance yourself a bit but don't neglect her.
if nothing works tell her...you will still be her friend but she is driving you insane...
