I'm a guy who sees birthdays as any typical day and do not understand why many women value their birthday. Elaborate answers will be great.

Majority of the men I know care not for their birthdays; women tend to become angered if not acknowledged, so for some it's about an important day to be remembered, for others it's just a day for gifts?

we love the attention every moment to be on us, birthdays makes it more important because there's a valid reason to have the attention on us, and the gifts too.

I like my birthday b/c it is my day to do things for just me-not the kids or my fiance etc. Plus the presents aren't bad either. I can go where ever I want and eat anything.
It's my day and it's too bad it only comes once a year!

I think people (women and men) just want to be acknowledged on their birthday. If you forget I get upset. If you do something little for me, like flowers and a card, that's all I need.

Because many know how much pain and suffering their mums went through for them to get here! jokes aside, a birthday is a mark that you arrived in the world on that day and its your 'special day' the only one you have in the whole year, so men start appreciating your woman and treat them special on that day!

Well thye just think it is all going down hill after they hit a certain age. they hate the thought of getting older. They think they have 2 work harder 4 respect bc of their age. it is a silly thing that eventually all women do, esp. if they are single... they think getting older is heck bc they feel like the older they get the less and less chance they have of finding someone bc no one wants someone "old". I know, it's like worshiping yourself. Each day should be a celebration of your life, just enjoy it to the fullest. I'm so over birthdays and materialistic holidays.
