I am the breadwinner. She has a job but can barely survive on what she makes.

It means she wants out.
Seriously... how old are yall? Maybe she jumped in too fast and is feeling overwhelming?
However, it is yalls home. She cant force you out w/o a court order.
Go back and sleep on the sofa. however, if you want a chance for it to work out, dont pressure her about a relationship.

Here are some links to websites about marriage and divorce laws. There are also some for community resources (groups, etc)

Good luck man.

Why are you asking us?

Surely that was the first thing out of your mouth when she said it, wasn't it?

That kind of statement is usually(in my experience) a sign of sheer frustration, said in order to force a reaction of some description from an otherwise 'inanimate' partner.

If you've meekly gone and slept in the car then you really DO have issues.

If you want this relationship to work I would suggest that you get yourself back through the front door and start TALKING!

She's given up on trying to make things work. The 1st yr is either the hardest or the easiest on newly weds. I'd talk to her and find out exactly what is going on. There has to be something going on.

I think you just married the wrong person.

Do not live in the car - have you done something to deserve
this? If not - tell her to sleep in the car. Good Luck.

whose name is on the lease, think if u are married that u don't have to leave until the divorce is final. marriage gives us more rights than if we weren't married. u need to ask her why she is feeling this way, and if u want to save the marriage u need to find out what has upset her so.i don't think u have to leave, if u are legally married to her. chances of her cheating on u are really good if she has insisted u leave the marital home.

That means you file for divorce. You're not supposed to live in the car.

It could be worse, it could be her car!.. I'd seriously think she means she doesn't need you around anymore. you've just been used!.
Why did you marry her? ask another question with more info and some details
