I would call it cheating as well, unless I had actually seen you writing on your hand after the fact....of course, then I would have thought you might be getting ready to show your hand to a friend nearby or in the next class.

If you wrote it down after you had the test in your hands and didn't refer to a book for the information it isn't cheating. However, you should have asked for a piece of scrap paper to write down things from your memory, that way the teacher wouldn't have suspected cheating. The teacher may have thought you had it on your hand before the test, so it's really just a matter of miscommunication. Better luck next time!

It isn't cheating if you write them once you are in class taking the test. However, your teacher isn't going to know when you wrote them. She has to assume you are cheating. Next time write them on the test itself. You could write them in a corner or on the back.

In this case, you are guilty...until proven innocent....

I don't understand why you would choose to write on your hand instead of the quiz itself...maybe on the back side. If I were your teacher, I would believe you to be guilty too.

i wouldnt do that b/c like what you said they will accuse you for cheating. if i need to write somethings down like formulas i immediately write it down beside the problem or in any free area of the piece of paper.
