I am looking after the birds and squirrels (birdfeeder) for my neighbour. he has a shed and asked me to lock it when I'm done. the problem is I can't lock the shed! when I came it was locked.. every time I twist it the whole doorknob twists and when I hold it still it doesn't move.. does anyone know what I can try?

Remember how you unlocked it, now reverse that process.
If you have no keys, or there is no padlock OUT side, then look inside.

Yeah, how did you unlock it? With a key or just a twist? Maybe there is a button on the inside door knob. If yes, push it in to lock the door. Just pull it shut. If there is no key then just shut the door and your neighbor can deal with it. Hope no one robs the shed.

Sounds to me that your neighbour doesn't only want you to look after the wildlife, he wants his shed fixed too. I can't believe this problem just ocurred. If he didn't show you how, just do the best you can and be done. Let him fix it on his return.
