Which one do you prefer and why? Which one works best? Is there something better out there?

I like Arm & Hammer better simply because the scent isn't as strong. Tide is too heavily perfumed. Otherwise, both get rid of stains really well.

I have always used Tide. It is one of the oldest, trusted laundry detergents and it is always being improved. Never heard anyone complain about Tide. So many kinds of Tide to choose from! Go with it.

I like the Arm and Hammer detergent. I work pretty hard and get pretty smelly. It does a better job of getting the stench out of my clothes than anything else I've used.

Tide by far is best!!! My kids clothes have no stains at all and it smells great! I for a short period changed to a few others and nothing got my kids clothes clean like Tide. Only other thing I use is Dreft when my kids are babies.

Is this just a poll? I don't want to give an endorsement, I choose based on smell alone.
I (therefore) like Tide w/a touch of Downy. I don't know if it work better, but I have no complaints.

tide my daughter did the comparison stain testas in science in high school so i use tide and add baking soda for only the smelliest things
