Do not use a toothpick. Use a needle with ice, or some sort of numbing cream. Or save your money and go to a hairdresser they will pierce you ears for about $10

The easiest way it take a needle and sterilize it over an open flame and let it cool. Ice your earlobe and then place a cork on the back side and have someone pierce your ear for you. A toothpick would break before it ever broke your skin so don't try that.. Use a sterilized needle and be sure you have some benzalchonium chloide on hand to use on your ear every day for disinfectant. Peroxide and alcohol should not be used.

it would be best if you went someplace that pierced ears. there are stores at the mall that will pierce your ears for the price of the earrings. if you must do it yourself (which I don't recommend) put ice on your ear lobe to deaden it, then put a sterile (wash your earlobe and the needle in alcohol) needle through where you want the hole. you need a pair of earrings to put in right away. keep your ears really clean by washing them 2-3 times a day with peroxide or alcohol. turn the earrings several times a day so they don't get stuck in the healing lobe. after a month or so the should be healed enough that you can change earrings. but really, let a professional do it for you.

Get a needle heat it up with a lighter before you poke it thou. Take ice and hold it on ear lobe until numb. Take bar of soap on backside so you have something solid to push into and poke it though. Take alchol rub on it and insert GOLD -not gold plated earing if you use gold plated it will get infected. Turn 2-3 times a day for couple weeks not removing it and its there forever

I really wouldn't do it myself because if everything isn't sterile It can cause infection & make your ears look like pink cauliflower!!!
I am 27 & don't have pierced ears (I'm allergic to most metals & I hate the way the holes look on pierced ears) & most men think it's hot if you don't have pierced ears!!
If you wait till you are 18 then you can get them pierced safely if you want..... :)

Don't use a toothpick, use some kind of needle or pin but make sure it's sterilized first because you don't want an infection in your ear.

now...if you want your ears peirced, and your parents wont let you, then they will find out eventually, and you will get in a lot of trouble :)

lol sorry to preach. but when i was younger, i pierced my ears with a thumb tack! (or push pin..same difference lol) you are not putting your life at risk, that is just silly! just be sure to clean it either by fire, or soapy water. and then push it right through. its not as painful as you might think! just be sure to push it through quick, and not slowly. good luck!

first of all you could be putting you life at risk by doing this your self. and if you think that using a tooth pick will do the job then you need mental help
