depends on the State that you are from. Some states you would have to be 16, others 18. That is talking about the jobs that you spoke of but to work on a farm it is another story all together. There are a lot of jobs around for the folks that are younger. News boy, caddying, farm work, and some restaurants.

Typically at least 16, some stores may require you to be 18. The reason being that under 18, you require a work permit. Under 16 (14& 15), the permit is much much stricter as to the number of hours you work, what hours you work, etc and it's sometimes more of a hassle than it's worth.

16 or 18 if you are under sixteen try your local stores like winnie dixe, walgreens, publix, and fast food spots like taco or mc donalds
