I posted my resume on Craigslist, but someone sent me an email telling me that she saw my resume on Craigslist and telling me about a site that earns extra money. I know that she isn't an employer /recruiter or else she wouldn't be giving me the information. So, why did she read it?

I hire people and my email address is listed on many websites. I also get a lot of spam. People will do anything to get your email address it is a chance for them to sell you something.

They want to make money off of you. I get tons of resume offers like that. They actually never read your resume they say they did though, didn't they?

They see young, eager people searching for a way to make money (in other words, searching for a job) and they target you thinking you'll be naiive enough to do fruitless things with their companies.

For that reason to get your information to contact you for whatever.

Or there are some who read them to get tips to make theirs better.

Delete the e-mail, it's obviously a scam.
