my pep-smear came back abnormal and i took the morning after pill two days before can that be the reason? pleas help.

It's possible, I suppose, that the emergency contraception might have caused some bleeding... that's not an unknown side effect, and it might have skewed the results of your pap. But it can't actually change your cervical cells... it'll just mess up the test.

I assume your doc scheduled you for follow-up care (typically a second Pap in about three months). Go in again then and see if the second pap comes up abnormal. And try not to worry: the bulk of abnormal cervical cells heal on their own without any medical intervention, and cervical cancer is a *rare* outcome. You are doing the right thing by getting regular pap smears.

No that does not cause an abnormal pap smear. It means you probably have some abnormal cells in your cervix. You may or may not have HPV. You will have to wait until he doc does the biospy and those results come back. If you are one of the lucky ones it might just be a nasty case of cervicitis but that doesn't happen to often. For your sake I would hope it doesn't turn out to be HPV.

umm abnormal how? ye it probably would. those little pills do alot of work in that 24 hours ya know. might mess something up down there for a little while. prolly nothing to worry about though.
