Please go for option 1
Here's why
* A single family home is ALWAYS better than a condo !
* A single family home can be remodeled and added onto in the future...as your needs and income changes.
* A single family home is way more PRIVATE !
* Much less noise than ANY CONDO!
* NOt nearly as many rules as a Condo.
* Having your own little yard and patio is much nicer than sharing with at least 100 other people .
* Nothing makes up for a so - so neighborhood. It's safer and more enjoyable to live where things are cared for with decent neighbors. A good neighborhood sells much faster/ better if you need to sell in the future.

A small happy home is better than a glorified apartment (condO)

I'll take option # 1 Condo's are not that great to live in. HOA fee is cheaper. I dont care for an extra bedroom or bathroom
