If your cycles are normally 28 days, you probably won't get pregnant. Normally you get your period 14 days after you ovulate. You had sex on Day 5 of your cycle. If you were ovulating at the time, that would put you at a 19 day cycle, which is pretty short. If you normally have short cycles (like 18-19 days) you could get pregnant, but if you have longer cycles, you probably won't get pregnant.
Regarding the stoppage of your period, on Day 5, it's not abnormal to stop and start as the blood flow begins to taper off.
FYI -- the rythym method of birth control isn't very reliable, so you probably shouldn't count on always being safe during your period.

Women ovulate 12-14 days after the start of your period. You are more likely to get pregnant if you had sex during that time.

So you mean that you had sex on the fifth day and stopped then started again for one day. Okay If this is what you mean then, what happens is that it can stop temperory due to it is in the process of finishing but you didn't and while you had sex it could have just stopped and you bleeded again to finsh the process. I am so sure why this happens but it does.

you may want to try this new invention from the early sixteenth century called condoms and the latest thing from the 1960's called birth control pills .., sperm can be motil for ten days in a warm and not to acidic environment and that meands folkes need to cover the little fireman when he runs into the burning bush or he may come out with the baby from the fire down below

I had sex on the last day of my period and got pregnant. I know I got pregnant that specific time because it was the only time.

You can get pregnant at any point in your cycle, depending on your own personal timing. I actually got pregnant after years of trying...on the day after my period ended. If you don't want to get pregnant, don't count on your period to prevent it!

It is possible if you happen to ovulate early. Sperm can survive for up to five days under the right circumstances.
