What does that really mean? Well I'd take it to mean that inside you're really really a good and valuable person. but the term is antiquated and really does it mean the same thing, or is it more now defined as someone who's good inside, but generally gullible that can be easilly taken advantage of. Think about what honor means these days and then ask yourself, does the term apply to you, and in what way...

Personally, yes, I have the antiquated definition of a heart of gold, I try to do right by people and expect the same in return, but I hold no illusions as to the character of other people. I know there are bad people out there that would try to dupe me and I keep an eye open for them, but that's not to say I wouldn't stop and help someone if I could, but I wouldn't stop and help the same person out of a mess over and over again, that would be stupid....

I have been told I have a heart of gold. I consider that a great compliment and would take that over being told I am beautiful or smart or witty or whatever, any day. Yes, I have also said that about other people.

I have been told lots of times that I have a heart of gold.
I don't beleive it though. I just worry about everyone and
worry about what they think about me. Time to grow up
I think.

I know a few people with hearts of gold. Unselfish,
Caring and Understanding warm friends and rels.

no, I cant get out my head the connetation of the greek fable where there was this king and everything he touched turned to gold.
at first he felt it was a blessing, he became very very rich and his kingdom florished.
Then he realised he couldnt eat. Every thing he touched turned to gold remember.
His young daughter became worried and danced for him to cheer him up. She danced right into his arms and he inadvertantly touched her. He turned her to gold.

Heart to gold- good or bad?

I like to think so, but this is a hard question. i would do anything for anyone and have done, but I have also been taken advantage of, i try not to give up my believe that most humans are good but it is very hard sometimes. So my motto is trust them till they prove otherwise.x

I'd like to believe I am that nice, but I am not great. I am just another drone in this world of ours. How I yearn for something more.
