when you give a presentation with powerpoint, about how many slides do you need on average to make up about 5 minutes?

rough estimate will work!!! thnx

I'd say around 15 slides.

If you spend 20 seconds on each one then you'd have gone 5 minutes.

Simple no?

Add or subtract slides for how long you'll be on them, more slides for less words, less slides for more words on the page. Or if you speak more or have graphics/animations and animations, you'll also need fewer slides to cover 5 minutes.

If I was in your shoes, I would first write the script that you are going to read. After that, you will have a good idea how many slides are needed to highlight the important points of your presentation. A rough estimate would be no more that one slide every ten seconds and no less than one slide every thirty seconds.
