When the dinosaurs died, 60% of all life on earth died.
In dark ages, (c. 500 a.d.), the earth was covered in volcanic ash and the sun was blocked out for two years. Rodents overpopulated in the the cities and spread bubonic plague via fleas. 1 out of 3 people died in Europe.
There have been horrid natural disasters thoughout earth history. Earth will go on.
