Alot of people shave their genitalia these days. Why is that so popular, you think?

Women do it because they want to be clean and sexy, and it does look sexy to most men. I think the other reason why it's so popular is because people want to sell stuff to shave with.

The shaving is popular for hygiene purpose. Those who live in warm, hot or humid areas may experience an itchy effect after a slight sweat in the genitalia if not clean shaven.
When romancing, clean-shaven couples or lovers would likely enjoy sex. If unshaven, the pubic hair poses unpleasant experience which includes accumulation of dirt!

It's just attractive. It's a clean, sleek look. And it's a more practical grooming method than gels, sprays or braids.

Because no one wants hair in their mouths. Also, hair absorbs sweat, bacteria and odors, so it can make it a lot more unpleasant down there. Final reason is that it mimics something more...young (but not pedophilic, necessarily) and our culture values youth.

I think it's a disturbing trend. I personally like the look of a nice bush. Who wants to have sex with someone who looks pre-pubescent?
