my mp3 player never downloads more than 28 songs wats wrong here??

2,000,000Kb as long as the 2gig is rated in bytes.
If you are using Microsoft Media Player, there is a folder option setting that needs to be changed. I do recommend calling your MP3 player manufacturer. They usually know about these issues.

My 1gig MP3 player holds about 14hrs. worth of music.

You have your songs in a huge format. Try lowering the bitrate of your MP3s in your preferences tab of your music ripper.

The number of KB would be 2*1024*1024 or about 2*10^6

a 2gig mp3 player should be able to hold about 500 songs... wierd
