I just viewed a clip on youtube.com about Hitler's speech to the German Youth Army.

And A question just lingered out of my mind.

Do you think that living Supporters of the Nazi still plan on re-taking back hitler's quest?

Or Is/are there still Hitler supporters?

Did the Nazi really die when hitler was found dead at his bunker?

Just some questions I thought about.

Feel free to answer. If you want.

Yes, there are still some of the old Nazis alive and there are neo-Nazis, not only in Germany but in other countries as well.

Among the neo-Nazis there are probably some who dream of coming to power again, but you can't call that plans because they have no chance to do that, they are few and they are under the control of functioning democracies.

Of course most of the Nazis in Germany didn't die when the war ended. Those at the very top of the Nazi regime mostly committed suicide or were executed after the war, but to most of the "lower level" Nazis nothing happened. The question is also who you define as Nazi. Members of the NSDAP? People personally and directly guilty of Nazi crimes? People who mentally agreed with Hitler in large part? There was little oppositon against the Nazis in Germany and a large part of the population supported the regime in some way. Many of these people were opportunists who adapted to the new conditions after the war. But my mother told me that in the 50s and 60s still many people in Germany spoke like: "The war and that with the Jews, that was wrong, but otherwise Hitler wasn't so bad."
As a German born in 1981 I really wonder how much antisemitism there really was among ordinary Germans during the Nazi era, how many people really supported Hitler in their heart and how much they agreed with the war. It is hard to know because afterwards many people say they were always against and it is difficult to know what to believe or not. However I have often heard things from the 50s and 60s that really scared me, many of the old Nazis were still in posts and positions, there was still a lot of antisemitism "under the surface", the Romanies (Gypsies) were still terribly discriminated against, history textbooks for schools told almost nothing about the Holocaust but instead complained about the German defeat, etc.
Many things really changed only after a new generation grew up in Germany. As I see it at the end of the 60s was the first time that people at least started to speak about the Holocaust and started to question how all could happen. In the 80s was the first time that the Romanies got their right and their murder was officially recognized as genocide. In the 90s people started to question the role of the Wehrmacht in the war and to speak about the atrocities they commited.

In addition there are the radical Islamists who are not exactly Nazis or neo-Nazis, but hate Jews the same. Here is a quote from a sermon of a preacher in Saudi Arabia:

"The Jews are defiled creatures and satanic scum. The Jews are the helpers of Satan. The Jews are the cause of the misery of the human race, together with the infidels and the other polytheists. Satan leads them to Hell and to a miserable fate. The Jews are our enemies and hatred of them is in our hearts."

and this is from another preacher there:

"The solution regarding the Jews is as the Prophet Muhammad said: 'I have brought slaughter upon you'"
