i don't know what's my personality. I LOVE black, but i don't wanna cut myself, I hate talking to people and i love wearing black eye liner, but i'm not depressed or bulimic. i don't think i'm normal either. oh, and I HATE PINK, HAPPY AND PERKY. What's my personality?

Okay, last time. Emo=Emotional. Usually these kids like to self mutilate and listen to bands like dashboard confessional and bright eyes. Gothic=Doom, Gloom, Black , Depression. Usually these kids dress in Black and sometimes in victorian clothing. Goth bands include Type o Negative, Legendary Pink Dots, Ministry. There are off shoots of each genre to numerous to get into here. Check out wikipedia for complete historiess of each genre. If I had to bet on it I'd say you lean more to the Gothic.

You don't have to be none of those to be either emo or goth. Its come through my experience (my sisters an emo i go more towards goth) that the two cultures come across each other more often than not, they are both a subculture all on its own,....find out more about musical tastes,...don't try going with what every-ones listening to try out new bands. Going against the current isn't really too great though

look i hate people who put labels on themselves and others as emo or gothic. i also hate the stereotypes that go along with them. if you wear black you are considered goth and if you wear eyeliner and cut yourself, you supposably are emo. you are youself not some label by social standards.
i used to call myself emo cuz i cut before but i now i realized its just plain stupid. no idea why i didnt. anyway emo just means emotional, not just depressed. and goths are usually those that wear all black and hate everything in the world.

ur kinda gothish but ur not emo goth wears black and red and sumtimes white too i think lol emo wears gurly jeans which is tight jean ur not happy and i think you make out with the same sex or that can be goth too lol but i wouldnt kno cuz im neither lol
