Republican: Provo or Logan, Utah. Not really cities, but pretty big towns.
Democratic city? I don't know. Several candidates come to mind. Burlington, VT, San Fran. My vote would be for the little town in Colorado called "Stoner". Yes, it exists. There is a Stoner High School there. Southwestern Colorado, near Durango.

Can't say about the Republican city, but the Democratic city is Chicago. They haven't had a Republican mayor in over 50 years. The Daley family has had a lock on that office with a short intermission after the death of the elder Daley. And City Council?Republicans?Couldn't get a majority in a restroom.Oh yes,the most Democratic city is Chicago, where we vote early and often!

Most cities tend to vote democratic Most rural areas and small towns tend to vote republican.
Having said that though, I've been to San Antonio and that's a big city and it's full of them republicans. Couldn't wait to get back to L.A. after that : )
