You be fine but the polar bears drowning arent, the people flooding arent, while the people with droughts arent eiher.

Yes, people do, and it's sad. And what is sadder is that the way most of these people are getting their money is through the earth's resources, like oil. I try to talk to people about global warming and they seem not very interested in it. If it is not affecting them at the present, they don't see the harm in it.I've tried to discuss it with my parents, and they don't think the situation is as bad as people are saying. But the truth is that the government is keeping alot of this information from us, so it doesn't cause a panic, and so that our focuses will stay on things they want it to stay on, like the war in Iraq, etc. George Bush is in with the oil business, so you can understand his reasons for not wanting people to know the truth about this. If worse comes to worse from the effects of global warming, he knows he will be kept safe. A few people trying to make a difference isn't going to matter unless we can get more people to help. Al Gore was a good man, and I can only imagine how things would have been different if he HAD become president. It's nice to hear someone else interested in doing something about this. People like me and you need to get together. It's the only way to get something started. I know there has to be others out there as well!

Try Inconsistent Truth. Unfortunately that film had many, many unfounded claims.

Just a little while ago, back in 1975, "they" claimed that the next ice age was coming, possibly within the next 10 years! These are the same "they" who are hyping up global warming now.

I'm all for 'waste not, want not', but some folks just need hype, thrive off hype and that's all they generate.

I think most people do not think money is more important than the earth. Unfortunately, the people who do care more about money are more powerful and are more likely to get their way.

Also, the money payoffs occur right now, whereas the likely damage to the earth will only really be seen full force in 60 years, when the rich folks can figure they'll be dead and it's someone else's problem.

Oil is the motivator here dear.

Should George Bush choose the planet here hmmmn

NO OIL means no fuel for your cars which mean most of you will lose your jobs hmmmn Which means no fuel for heating and other things which means this winter many americans will die hmmmn Which means no fuel for the army which means no defence for america which mean ALL americans are dead hmmmn

What governments are doing globaly now however is supporting companies to make more efficient fuels and engines that burn cleaner thus helping our planet

I think we should leave the politics to the politicians hun what dyu think hun ?

The answer to that question probably changes as the people who say "earth" loose their jobs.

Seems we always expect it will be someone else's job that goes and that ours will be the "needed" job that isn't affected.
