The best how to books and movies for freestyle sking in my opinion are the Warren smith Ski Academy ones as they concentrate on freestyle skiing more than most other skiing books/ dvds do. There are 4 dvds to buy in total each one more advanced than the other one, giving tips on carving, moguls, jumps etc. There are 3 different books and like the dvds start off for the begineer freestyle skier and go on to give tips to the more advanced skier. Other good dvds to buy just to watch some good skiing are Tangerine Dream, The hit list and anything by Greg Stump and Warren Millar.

My suggestion : GO TO A GOOD BOOT-FITTER. Seriously, this is the best advice I can give you. Different boots are made for different feet, a good boot fitter will set you up with comfy boots for the type of skiing you want. I have a pair of Salomon Ghosts, a good freeride/freestyle boot, and I love them.
