Ok...I have to find reasons that the Hudson's Bay Company adopted it's stay-at-the-Bay trade policy in the 1800's..and I am clueless...someone with knowledge of this please help me....it's for school, so it's important that i find the correct answer....10 points goes to the best answer!!!!

i believe it had to do with the french monopoly on the fur trade. so that with the stay at the bay policy had to do with keeping the money in the bay area and not sending it overseas to France.
