it hasn't, and never will change a mans perception. A man will always stare at the womens chest (if they are ample) no matter what her position, no matter how much money she makes. He will always forget her birthday and their anniversary date. He will always think she cannot drive. He will always avoid her when she is pmsing it. He will always tune her out after about 20 minutes of -whatever she just got done talking about?

Well, just because its true doesn't mean you need to rub their faces in it. :) Just play along until they get enough rope to hang themselves, then spend the next few decades back pedalling.

-I don't care if men in the workplace stare at my chest (I might just stare at certain parts of their anatomy too, when they aren't looking). I care about whether I can be in the workplace at all, and how much money I'm making.
-I don't care if a man forgets my birthday or anniversary - I do care if he can beat me for forgetting his.
-I don't care if he thinks I cannot drive, as long as he can't take away my driver's license.
-I hope he does avoid me when I'm PMSing, since I'd rather be alone anyway!
-I don't care if he tunes me out after 20 minutes, but he'll care when he fails my class!
The trivialities you listed have nothing to do with feminism. You clearly have no idea how women lived in the past, or how they still live in certain countries.

Well I'm sorry you've had those experiences with men. I've known many men like that too, but the majority of men in my family, workplace and social group are not like that at all. So maybe you need to look at yourself and see why you are around men like that. I don't mean that in a rude way- it might have something to do with your family or where you live. But I can tell you that not all men are like that.
Second, if you think the feminist movement hasn't done anything to change anything then you must be a pretty young person who hasn't read much history of the movement. Just as a quick recap in my own family- my mother wasn't given maternity leave. When she got pregnant, she was fired. My grandmother wasn't allowed to buy herself a car without her husband's permission. My other grandmother had a law degree but had to be a nurse since firms didn't hire lawyers at that time. My great-grandmother wasn't allowed to use birth control. It was illegal at the time. When she got married, all of her property transferred to her husband so that she owned nothing herself. Her sister's husband used to beat her badly, but it was not illegal at the time so she couldn't press charges. Neither of them could vote.
So I'd say things have changed considerably in the past one hundred years due to the feminist movement. These are the stories I grew up with. Talk to the older women in your family.

Mainly because posters want to get a point across/start something. There are a select few posters on this board who are opinionated enough to reply, and the same answers to the same questions generally get spouted out over and over. As for "who cares," obviously the nobodies (such as myself) who continue to post on Yahoo! Answers, of all places, and waste their times to either
A) Try to prove some sort of point and "win" or
B) Actually try to educate somebody without insults.
Option B is so sparse on this particular board it gets to be a little disturbing, although some of the boards (like math help) are consistently useful for the posters.
On Women's Studies, questions aren't really questions; they turn out to be debates.

Probably the 54% of the worldwide population who are women care...it isn't necessary to call yourself a feminist to be one either...you just have believe in equal opportunities for all, rather than thinking one gender is superior to another because of muscles, floppy external parts and chest hair...and a real feminist loves men too, because they are their brothers, fathers, uncles, and sons...even if they forget my birthday!!!

Well, what I'M wondering about is your username. Who, exactly, is "Nada?"
I'm also assuming you are a guy. (I think, lol.) So, let me ask YOU something: why do you think men SHOULD have anything to do with girls, then? According to your testimony, they classify themselves as shameless idiots who loves women for certain - ahem - reasons and nothing else. So why don't you just advise them to resist their temptations like you seem to do? Why not post an overall useless question asking about THAT?
Also, people do care. This program was created to learn and think about other's opinions. Not insult them.

We feminists don't care what men think of us. We care about having our rights. And if men don't like it, well, screw 'em.
