blush sticks are great and last longer than powder...but they are harder to use.
Best way is to use your fingers...the natural oils and heat in your fingers is great for blending. The trick it to use just a little then layer on...until you get the color you want. If you put a lot on right away...its hard to wipe off and get a lighter look.
Dab just a little on the apple of your cheek (smile and its the round part). With your fingers...start blending the blush into a larger circle adding color if needed. Use a sponge to give you a finished, polished look.
Remember you want the blush to look natural ....like you just blushed or ran a mile.
Good luck!!

personally i hate the stick....but to apply blush you should smile your biggest smile and apply blush to the "apples" of your cheeks...ie : the higest part when you smile. If your face is too wide try drawing your blush lightly along your jawline starting at the "apple" and working downward to your jawbone. If your nose needs a little sculpting draw your blusher lightly along the slope of your nose.
Using the stick type blush you will have to blend it some using a sponge or tissue so that it does not look drawn on.

Use a good foundation brush and apply softly on the apples of the cheeks, then blend!

Swipe it directly on your cheekbones, then blend with a makeup sponge.
