What is the name of this cartoon?

All I can remember is something like this. Theres a guy who kills a dragon(i think) steals its heart puts it in a robot thing that can transform into a dragon. Theres also a girl with this pendant thing and she does this weird thing to find people with it. And the guy has a brother who got his eye or arm ripped off by a dragon. Well thats all I can remember hopefully someone can identify this cartoon.

It was "Escaflowne"
That's funny : you remind me of this anime, and I just checked what was available on youtube. There's an escaflowne's movie.
