Unions drove a lot of manufacturing companies either out of business or overseas.

Unions tend to decline when jobs that are typically unionized disappear.

Unions are like any other large organization, when they begin they are focused on what they are good at. As they grow and mature they lose this focus and quickly become an engine for enriching the people at the top of the organization. The people at the top lose contact the the average person so the organization is perceived as being impersonal and out of touch. The organization eventually becomes bloated and dies.

The decline of unions which is happening now is a natural and much needed part of the life cycle of an organization. Eventually after the current dinosaurs die off, new and more effective organizations will take their place.

Find honest, ethical and dedicated union leaders willing to properly represent the American worker. The plight of the unions in the USA is closely tied to the plight of the Dems And Gops in the USA. All or these entities have failed to represent their American charges. Subsequently, they all are declining in importance to the American people. We so lack representation!!!

I wouldn't want to stop the decline -- unions puff up their compensation so as to take more money out of my wallet and yours.
