At some point in our lives, we have all felt the urge to runway. As a child, I have runaway by playing the infamous game of hide & seek. I was hoping to be the master of concealment, but my parents foiled my plans of escape. LOL. During our progression from childhood to adolescence and then to adulthood, we find more appropriate routes of escaping from reality. With that being the case, I now run away from reality to Artworld (poetry, painting, drawing, etc.). Now there is only one place where I can sucessfully lose myself, the Artworld.

Ya I really do. 2007 has not been a good year so far. There have been several days where I thought "man - I just want to disappear - run away from all this stuff!". But...with a husband and 2 kids...can't really do it!

I have to think it'll get better. Right? Hope your stuff does, too!

Yes! that's a fantasy of mine. For me and my husband to just pack up what we really need and sell everything else and take off and start new somewhere else! Of course , the only way that could ever happen is if we win the lottery!

Yes!!!

I did once when 11yrs old with clothing, books etc but only lasted one day ,way back in 1973 lol.

But recently during 2005 but couldn't face leaving my son but eventually it happened in 2006 best decision that happened I'm free to be what I want to be but sadly don't see my son as my ex moved and withheld all contact :(

So think carefully before indulging :)

Yes! all the time...manly when things go from bad to worse for me but then i get a slight guilt and think about my family and friends...can't do that to them...I'll be hurting them more if i did run away.

Yes. I live alone but I still want to run away.

yes, I want to run away right now. I want to be somewhere warm, in the sun, on a beach, with waves lapping at my toes, while a bronze tanned god, with long black wavy hair, serves me icy cold pinia coladas, and possibly something more, after dark!

Of course. It's only natural every once in a while. And I think the adult thing is crap. I'm an adult and I know that the only reason I don't drop everything and go (my job, apartment, etc) is because I don't have the guts to take that kind of risk....
