I'm for it. - Take it out again. It was added by Eisenhower in June 1954 - it has NOT been there since the beginning.
We talk all the time about separation of Church and State, yet we think nothing of inserting "Under God" into our national pledge to the country. You cant have it both ways...

I belive in god, but the people who believe should not have to say the Pledge Allegiance to the flag with god in it if they do not believe. Hope that helps!

It's retarded. Leave it there, cross your heart, and pledge your allegiance!!! I am SO sick of liberals taking away many of the things our country was founded on. Our founding fathers thought that God should be a part of the country. Let him stay.

I personally do not agree with taking God out of the pledge of allegiance, I feel that if you are offended by saying it, then don't take part in reciting the pledge of allegiance

Many people leave their birth countries because they have trouble with the gov't stopping their religion, or telling them what they must believe or else trouble. Our very own ancestors came here from different countries, or if your native american, freedom of religion is what this country has always stood for. I don't think we should take the word "GOD" out of anything...in fact it could be in more places then it already is. How about if everyone who believed in GOD put a purple ribbon on a tree in their yard or a purple tassel on their care to show solidarity in GOD? Would you do that?

God has been in the pledge since the beginning. This country's history should not be messed with--if it offends anyone, they should go back to the country they came from. If people don't want to say "God" while saying the pledge, they don't have to--but they should not take our country's heritage down the tubes with them.

My thoughts involve getting rid of the entire pledge of allegiance. Not just the god part.
Every time I hear it it reminds me of something youd hear in the Soviet Union or Nazi Germany. (Especially the little kids version they have in kindergardens.)
