Groceries went up 15% at the start of the year and another 5% last week in my neighborhood. Gas suddenly soared 15 cents last week.
I think Bush's friends are gearing up for a massive ripoff before he leaves office.

There is one problem with your theory, Bush does not control the cost of living. Congress and Senate does that. Of course they are going to go up everyone should have known that. The minimum wage increase has to be paid by someone. The consumer is the one that pays. I thought everyone knew that. It is called the domino effect, change one thing and others follow. This is the first thing taught in college economics.

Yup- I've been noticing that for the past umpteen years.

It doesn't have much to do with Bush in particular, as these problems are present regardless of the political affiliation of the president.

It's possible it could get worse with a Democrat president simply because they have the tendency to raise taxes on everything for public handouts.

So, it doesn't matter who is in office, we'll get screwed no matter what.

Yes, gas prices did soar last week. Maybe we should start buying oil from Iraq, which we haven't done in years.

And grocery prices have gone up because it costs more to move them to the stores.

I don't' know why everything that happens bad in today's world is blamed on President Bush. There are so many factors that effect the jump in prices for the items you mentioned that there is very little that any one individual can be blamed for the rises.

Bush doesn't control the price of gas or your groceries. Blame that one on the Democratic Congress you so love.

While I acknowledge the rise in prices, post proof they are not Democrats. Your sad partisan politics make me laugh. BTW I get farm gas, and just filled up the 300 gal tank for $1.55 per gallon.
