I certainly hope that 'personal appearance' and behavior' are factors in the way school employees are chosen ... and finances may also be 'considered' although should be far 'less important' ... and the MOST IMPORTANT thing is to be sure that the teacher is 'qualified' to teach that subject or subjects well, and is not a 'sexual predator' ...

Yes to all. Behavior --- obviously you want someone who sets an example and can work and coexist with others . Personal appearance --- you want someone who makes an impression based on their skill and character, not looks or any physical trait. Finances --- obviously shows a person has self control, worth, priorities --- you don't want a person that can't keep their car running , when they depend on it to get to work. Also, if they are financially unstable, there is probably a chance they may move around and not stay long.. Their history is important.
Having said all that --- all these things and other stumbling blocks or barriers can be overcome by just a great personality, or great innovative tactics that inspire coworkers and students alike.

Behavior definitely, appearance if the person is tattooed from head to toe with colored hair and every portion of their body pierced, but finances I don't understand. Definitely school employees should have a professional appearance acceptable by any workforce in their country. After all are we not preparing our children for the working environment of our country?

Yes I think personal appearance and the behavior factor have a lot to do about dicisions in school employees. Finances shouldnt realy matter. On any job the others do matter. Teachers influence our children and they should take pride in their appearance.

Should it......yes, BUTonly as much as it does with other professions. Why? because there are no set rules other than laws. There should not be one set of rules for one group and another for others. If it is legal, it is acceptable. If it is not, then it isn't. If there is a problem, then it should be addressed and then use the standard for everybody.

you dont need inappropriate teachers, thats agiven.
which relates similarly to appearence. no teacher should be unprofessionaly dressed. they get plenty of money to buy clothes and such as everyone else.
