I had furniture/ appliance sliders under my washing maching. my washer sits at my back door and i need sliders under the washer to get in and out of the back doo. had beed working fine for 5 years until painter came to paint, moved the washer and mnow it does not slide anymore. i'ver replaced the sliders and waxed the floor, still wont slide. its very hard to move now. any ideas?

I´m not to sure but it might have something to do with the weights inside the machine they might have dropped when the machine was moved

We throw out stuff like that all the time working for H.U.D. (housing and urban development). Reposessions, forclosures, evictions, etc. people leave everything when they go sometimes. Watch the curbs on trash day or anywhere rentals are involved. I also find a lot of good furniture at the dumpsters in trailer parks. Learning how to fix stuff is usually part of getting it for free. I have piles and piles of broken things that I'll only fix if and when I use it. I also swap junk with people. Large appliances almost always need to be repaired. The parts are cheaper than buying the whole machine and a coat of paint (properly applied) will make it look good again.
