how can i reinstall my sound card driver can you list me step by step?

have you got it on CD (or other storage media)? if not you can probably download it from the manufacturers website. If the sound card is installed got to device manager and select the sound card and change the driver to the new one. if not use the 'Add new hardware' tool in Control Panel and set it up with the new driver.

i have done it myself manually but can't remember exactly how
