We are thinking of moving to Saskatchewan. I only know that the housing, car insurance, health care are cheaper. We are from Alberta and it is just crazy with the house prices and the amount of people coming here.

My recommendation would be either Regina or Saskatoon. They are cities that are just big enough to have most of the amenities any normal person would want, but small enough that you can get around easily and don't feel that you're trapped in a rat race.
Another recommendation: Moose Jaw, which is only a 45-minute drive from Regina.

It depends on how far you are wanting to be from civilization. Regina is a nice city and prices will be comparable to other cities, but 1 hour drive will take you to a number of smaller communities (Craven) where prices are cheap, cheap, cheap!

And research prices in Saskatchewan. The farther from Regina the cheaper homes/properties are. How about a quarter section (160 acres) for $15,000!!!
