I think that no one will know for sure until the book is released. Plus I wouldn't trust what anyone says until I've read it myself. But I LOVE Harry Potter and am sad the series is ending.

JK Rowling's been kind of mum about the ending of the last book but I'm like 99% sure she kills Harry off. She did say two main characters die in the last book. I bet it's going to be Harry and Voldemort.....

I would say no because Rowling has followed the formula of the Hero's Journey since the first book.

The hero who doesn't know he's supposed to be special meets a mentor who teaches him magic. He meets some companions on his journey to becoming a true hero and fights "small battles" on the way to his ultimate showdown with the Dragon. The mentor has to be removed from the fight so that the hero can face his enemy alone, which, of course he does, and after a tough battle will emerge victorious. He should first refuse to return to his original world, but reluctantly become the hero of "two worlds." Luke Skywalker did it, King Arthur did it, Neo did it, Simba did it, even the Karate Kid did it.

So, to answer the question, Harry should fight Voldemort without the aid of his mentor (Dumbledore removed just like Obi-wan and Simba's Dad); there should be one heck of a battle that threatens two worlds, but ultimately Harry will prevail and should...if Rowling really does follow the formula...return to Privit Drive as a hero to the Magic community as well as the Muggles.

Some people think Harry Potter is a horcrux and that the scar is what is keeping him linked with Voldemort. I think Harry will try to kill Voldemort but it will back fire as it did in the beginning, exceot Voldemort will live and Harry will become Voldemort in a manor of speaking

I would bet no. I agree with the previous poster that recalled the "Hero's Journey" type of story:

Bilbo lives alone at the end, while some of his friends live happily ever after....
Luke Skywalker lives alone at the end, while his friends get married....
Frodo goes off alone at the end, while his friend gets married ....

And so on.

So, Hermione & Ron will marry; Harry will live, alone and probably pursuing evil around the globe; and my prediction is that Hagrid and Neville will die in a blaze of glory.

Oh, or maybe Snape.

And, I think that Draco has some major role to play, possibly not entirely evil. But no .... Harry will definitely not die. (I think!)

The prophecy say that either neville or harry would be killed by Voldemort. I think harry will go on to be an auror.
So i think not it is pretty bad thad rowling would build up a character that everyone enjoys reading about, and than destroy it.

Well, the prohecy says either him or Voldemort will die cause one cant live if the other's alive. I dont think Harry will die, but with J.K. Rowling, you never know. You gotta expect the unexpected (case and point- when Sirius Black died!)

There is alot of rumors going around. But, I don't know what happens for sure. I did hear that someone does die. I think we will have to wait for the book to know for sure what happens.

Remember in the 6th book harry found out he had to destroy all those things in order to defeat voldimort (I forget what they where called). Well anyway i heard that harry is one of those things so he is going to have to kill himself in order to defeat voldimort.
I dont know if that is true but that is what i heard

we all have theories....yet so far only JK knows(and her editor). my belief is that if he dies, he brings voldemort down with him, but that seems unlikely. he will not die. trelawney did say that harry would live to a ripe old age and she HAS managed to make correct predictions, even if just guessing.
