Calm down, hon. You and baby are fine.
Such worries are very common with first pregnancies, especially at 10 weeks, because you can't yet feel the baby moving. So let me assure you that there are very definite and clear symptoms of miscarriage, with bleeding being the biggest one.

I had what's called a "missed miscarriage," in which the baby died a few days before my body miscarried it. Although I did not experience the common miscarriage symptoms at first (like bleeding and cramping), I had a very bad feeling something was wrong. Primarily, because I lost all my pregnancy symptoms. My breasts were no longer tender, I wasn't peeing all the time, and I no longer felt the twinge from my uterus stretching.

If your pregnancy symptoms just suddenly stop BEFORE your 16th week, then you should get your doctor to check you out. Otherwise, try to enjoy your little one and don't stress out.

I know it's really hard not to worry with your family history. When I got pregnant after my m/c, I was a real nutcase - always pressing on my chest to make sure I was still sore, checking for blood every time I went to the bathroom, freaking out over the tiniest little things. Worrying is just part of becoming a mom, I guess, and it starts even before your little one arrives.

Good luck, and congrats!

I'm going to be 100% honest with you. My mom & sister both had several miscarriages. I had two children without a hitch, then last week I miscarried for the first time, with my third child. I was 11 weeks pregnant.

It is genetic, however that does NOT mean that you will miscarry.

If this is your first child, it may just be that you don't know how it feels to be pregnant, and you don't know how you "should" feel.

If it is not your first then you should know better then anyone your body when pregnant. I had a very bad feeling 3 days before I found out I miscarried. I knew my body, and I was right.

Now, contrary to popular belief, you do not always bleed right away if you do miscarry. I didn't bleed at all. If you do miscarry and you don't see a doctor, eventually you will bleed, and hemorage.

Now, If you do miscarry around 11 weeks (like myself), they do a procedure called a D&C, or a D&E. A day surgery where they vaginally remove the baby, placenta, and all that stuff, and scrape your uterus. It really isn't as bad as it sounds, physically anyway. It's a mental roller coaster losing a child. But you'll be in and out of the hospital.

I'd go see your OB/GYN for an ultrasound to see if the baby's heart is beating. That's how they found out I miscarried.

My prayers are with you! I'm sure everything is fine, but to ease your mind go see your OB/GYN.

You can have what is called a missed miscarriage. This is when the baby is no longer living but does not expel it until weeks later. I had this. You should have cramps though. One day I had terrible cramps. They finally went away. Then I had an ultrasound 2 weeks later and found out it wasn't living. And the baby was showing no sign of expelling itself. Therefore they gave me a RU148 to make it come out which is an alternative to a d and c. Now I will tell you thinking back on it, I no longer had any pregnancy symptoms after the cramps. The sickness, the breast tenderness, and the frequent urination went away. But after 12 weeks symptoms should lessen anyway and your 10 so it may be lightening up. But to make you feel better most people DO bleed and have cramps.

I was wondering the same thing - I know that you can and it is called a missed miscarriage. I have been worried that I may have had one because my symptoms have stopped and I don't feel pregnant. I am 7 weeks with my fourth and I should be feeling something. I actually was until last week. I just don't know and I don't even go to the Dr. until the 20th.
Call your Dr. and have him check the heartbeat. Have you been to the Dr. yet?
Try not to worry and good luck
Keep me posted.
My mom had 2 miscarriages and my sister had one too. But I had 3 healthy babies and no miscarriages, so who knows what our bodies do.

It is possible to miscarry and not know. I had one last year when I was 12 wks. and found out the baby died at 9 weeks but my body did not know it. I still had pregnancy symptoms and everything. I had to have a D & C. I have also had 3 previous miscarriages. I am now pregnant again in my first trimester and do not know yet how everything is but I have already promised myself I would not worry because this baby is in God's hands, not mine. Since I put Him in control, I have perfect peace! I do have two beautiful children in between all the miscarriages! Read Isaiah 26:3,4

I had a missed miscarriage (sometimes called a missed abortion). Means that the baby's heart stopped beating but my body didn't realize the baby's heart stopped in other words my body did not reject it. If you have a missed miscarriage your doctor will usually give you a D & C to clean your uterus out and expell the fetus.
The best advice I received during my second pregnancy was to take one day at a time. I also had a great doctor who let me come in twice a month for ultrasounds.
Good Luck and congrats on the pregnancy!

If you were to have a miscarriage there would be pain and bleeding (the pain can be minimal or significant, it just depends on your body).

As to what would happen, your Dr would most likely see if your body would flush the biological material out on its own, if not you would be scheduled for a D&C.

Here's to a healthy pregnancy to you and yours!

there is a thing called a missed miscarriage and you don't bleed, normally the baby's heart stops beating and you lose ALL your symtpoms but it's rare that it happens....don't worry stress doesn't help.....good luck!!
