Like pregnancy..Do they really get THAT terrified? If you are a man...did your first child scare the heck out of you??? My ex left me at 8 months and I am thinking he is plain scared. Been together 7 years..I know that I am scared to have this baby but I can't and won't run away from him..I was just wondering if anyone had any experience. He is the one who wanted to have a baby...

I'm just planning on being a single parent..going to sue for child support..I think he will come back but I can't really wait for that to happen. I have my child to think about and I will give him my all. Your right, he isn't a man.

For the same reason women abort babies, they are scared. My ex left me the day I found out I was pregnant with my first then we got back together I gave birth to my son, then 9 months later we ended up pregnant again a month later his father died and then he left me and we never got back together. He denied that my second one was his. But he and I are very good friends and share equal custody of both of them. Men have hard time growing up and realizing that they need to take responsibility for their actions. Women on the other hand grow up (usually) the second that they get a positive pregnancy test and we also bond very quickly with the child living inside of us. If men were able to feel that connection with the baby I think that they too would bond quickly and step up to the plate. Now not ALL men run away there are men who are wonderful, caring, and very responsible because after I had my second son I met my husband and he told me that if my ex wasn't going to be there for my son that HE would. Sometimes men have things going on in their lives at the time and don't know what to do whether it be financially or emotionally. Hang in there I am SURE he will come around once he grows up. Good Luck and Congrats on the baby!!!!

I am so sorry to hear he did this to you.

Women carry the baby and can not run when they feel scared as men can do. And when the women bonds she then does not want to run away any longer. *Some*

But the man all ready has ran and maybe then feels the guilt. Many times they try to come back but with all the hurt feelings it may not work.
They can detach we can not as easily with the reminder in our tummys.

My son's father was the same way. We haven't heard from him in over 5 years. We were together for 8.

Some men come to their senses and some don't. I hope that yours does.

I've never had that problem. My husband is a good man who loves our son. We were both scared at first, and hell, it's still scary and he's 4 months old. Try talking to him. Ask him if he'd want to grow up without a father, wondering why his dad didn't want to be around him. If he still doesn't come around, screw him. He doesn't deserve you or your son

Your ex doesn't represent "men". Perhaps there was more going on in your relationship than fear since he wanted a baby.

He's a coward...but he'll come around once the baby is born. Once the baby is born and he wants to be part of its life....what are you gonna do now?

Pregnant women ARE very scary to be around with the mood swings and strange cravings. It's best to come back just in time for the delivery.
