Absolutely not. Sometimes, the most intelligent decision is NOT to change things. Try again.

It should be phrased as following, everything else is redundant.

Intelligence is the ability of a life form to gather, process and use information about the world in a manner that allows the life form to change the world.

I agree somewhat. It is true that there are a lot of people out there that are truly intelligent that do have to power to change the world. Then again, you have to keep in mind that some people have the power to change the world while being not so intelligent. For example, George Bush, who isn't all that bright, has thrown us into a war that wasn't ours to begin with, put our economy in dept after the surplus Clinton had built up, and now he's sending more troops in.
So, at the very least, intelligence doesn't determine whether you can change the world or not, but it certainly does help things.

I agree with this part:Intelligence is the ability of a life form to gather, process and use information about the world. After that I think your talking about something else.

Not necessarily... I think of it in a Taoist-type sense, that is, it is important to have the patience to first percieve and clearly appreciate the nature our reality in it's totality, how our emotions affect our perceptions, in addition to how things around us "work"... Then, perhaps, we might have the wisdom to act in a way that creates greater harmony between ourselves and our world- And this might well involve leaving things alone, rather than attempting to change them. ;-)

Very close. "change the world" has this idealistic teenage-girlish ring to it. If, by that, you mean, it enables the organism to cope with its environment.. and manipulate the environment in order to fulfill its objectives, then yeah.
