It's scary leaving your safety zone for the first time, then you'll learn that there's a big wild world out there and it's at your feet. As for your friends, those that are truely bonded to you will be there forever, others may come in and out of your life for years. That's just the way life works.
I remember crying on my graduation day, and loving every day since then, even the bad ones.

Change is only constant in the life. As you grow you go through a continuous change process. Your thinking, your friends and environment around you is continuously changing. So as you will leave the school you will get through new environment of college, university, teachers and friends. Everyone adopts in the new situation and of course you would also like that. The feeling of missing near and dear ones are always temporary.

i know i wont, ive been to three highschools and none of them have been really that great or memorable for me, only my first highschool because i met such a great person there, and I cant forget him but besides that it wasnt such a great school, people were so messed up, doing drugs, getting knocked up and dropping out of school by their sophmore year, it was really horrible. There was at least 10 security guards at my school that were so rude to me, I remember this one security guard who took away my ID from me and I had to pay for another one. Why? Only because I was wearing my jacket at lunch, we werent allowed to wear ours......we had to wear uniforms. A white T-shirt with the school's name on it and jeans.......it was so bad and I couldnt stand it, it was like we were in jail......you dont wanna go to a high school in Chicago....if you were a kid from a surburb coming to our school you most likely wouldnt make it lol no offensive though....but some how I made it thru all that hell, with good friends by ur side life seems pretty good, you know what I mean? Just make the moments that meant so much to you count....but its not good bye, you'll always make friends no matter where you are, your life really doesnt end at highschool because remember theres also college........so just look at it that way, yeah you may be sad.......I really was when I left my old school only because I missed my friend alot, he was so speical to me.....the other 2 highschools ive been too havent been that great, I just wanna graduate and get it over with to be honest.....and go to college :)
ooh and sorry for making this so long... lol
:)

Well, I am a senior right now and when this school year started I was so sad b/c I thought, wow, after 12 years with these people, I am not gonna see them anymore. But let me tell ya, a few months of senior year is more than enough! Senioritus has kicked in..lol. I can't wait to get out and start something new. I'm not saying it isn't fun, but I think we are all just ready for something different.

I grew up moving every 2-4 years and still wonder what's going on with people I went to kindergarten with. I missed school for a while after I graduated, but I got over that. As far as friends go, maybe you should recommend them to classmates.com if you or they move. I went on there & got in touch with classmates that were aquantances then but remembered me...kinda cool.

No, you drift away from them. When you go to college, there's new people. Or even if you don't go to college, you go on and you make new friends. It's surprising how little you miss people at high school. I'm a sophomore in college, and there's only one person from my high school that I'm still in regular contact with - my best friend

Yeah, you probably will for a while, but college was the best time of my life, and will likely be yours as well. I'm only friends with one of my high school friends now, and you couldn't pay me enough to go back to all that nonsense.

it depends. if you're way into the school, like sbo president or something, and all your friends are at school, then you will. If you hate it, or are just neutral, then you'll move on to bigger and better things..hopefully
