From Leo Dicaprio, ryan gosling, Perer O'toole, and Will Smith, was Forest whitaket truly the right one to win?

No. Forest Whitaker did an incredible job, but the Oscars often times pass over great jobs to reward a nominee for their entire career. Martin Scorsese won for The Departed, yet he should have won for Raging Bull and Goodfellas. The Academy was paying him back for screwing him earlier. They should have dnoe the same for Peter O'Toole this year.

I unfortunately did not get the chance to see Last King Of Scotland. I will go when I get the chance and the cash!Forrest Whitaker is an outstanding actor with many movies to his credit! I believe it was the subject matter as well as his range that locked him in. He puts his self out there and pushes the button... so to speak!
I too believe Djimon Hounsou should have gotten the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. I loved him in the Janet Jackson video in the 80's Love Will Never Do Without You and also in Beauty Shop with Queen Latifah! He is one "FINE" African brother.
All the other men did outstanding jobs as well! YOU GO BOYS!!!!!!

My wish is pinned on Forrest Whitaker. exceptional actor. He these days gained 50 pounds, found out to play the accordion, and found out to talk Swahili, all to play Idi Amin. he's a great actor.

I didn't see The Last King of Scotland but I think Forest Whitaker is a great actor & his speech was good.

I thought it was absolutely ludacris that Djimon Hounsou didn't win Best Supporting Actor, though.

He did an AMAZING job. He was one who really stretched beyond his acting skills.

Did you even SEE the King of Scotland?

If you knew Forest Whitaker, you would know he's quiet. If you would have seen KoS, you would see that he plays the perfect dictator.

He's ok and he has been around for a while. But I just think Peter O'Toole should get a lifetime award of some sort.

Yes, He has worked hard to earn that award. I believe some of the other nominees, deserved it too, but he just did a fantastic job and they all would have been good winners.

I'm not really sure, but many people say he was the best out of the group of actors. Will Smith did pretty good in Pursuit for Happyness.

I would have preferred Will Smith, but Forrest isnt too bad... i was extremely dissapointed that Dreamgirls didnt get best song though.... i mean honestly, they had 3 on the ballot out of 5.....
