Maybe we should start calling the death penalty abortion, then they would agree with it!

Questions like this one will not help you understand anyones whose views are different from yours.
Actually, more Americans prefer life without parole over the death penalty, 47% to 46%. (2006 Gallup poll.) The reasons for this have less to do with whether people are liberal or conservative than with the fact that people are looking at the practical problems with the death penalty. I think you will find similar things about the war on terrorism. It is not a matter of cut and run or liberal vs. conservative, but it concerns what is working and what is not.
Beyond this fact, you will simply have to find another way to learn about what others think about important issues. Diatribes rarely lead to dialogue. If you ask a straightforward question without prejudging you may do better.

1- its not sympathizing. its saying no one has the right to take a life. no one has the right to judge who is unworthy of life. and mistakes have been made to prove that this is a bad system.
2- I do think that there's a reason why the underprivledged are executed more than the privledged. I also know that the DP don't reduce crime rate. have you ever read about the 4 years when there was no DP in america? most of the criminals who got parole, instead of death, reoffened less than other prisoners who were paroled.
3- leaving iraq has nothing to do with terrorists. we did what we went there to do. I'm ready for us to come home and track the terrorists- not insurgents who want their nation back.
4- we will catch more terroists if we take our troops home and deploy some of them once we are sure we have found a terrorists or a training camp. we might also like to protect our homefront.

OK first off, we are one of the few remaining countries in the western world that still employ es the death penalty. and many times the EU has tried to get us to outlaw it. the death penalty also has no proven link to lowering the crime rates in the US.
and second, "cutting and running" as you imply, even though that is not the proposed plan, does not support terrorism, because there was no proven link between Iraq and terrorism. the plan proposed for Iraq by Dem's is one that takes the combat forces out and leaves only people to train the Iraqi soldiers. and even our biggest ally England is now setting a timetable for withdrawing from Iraq because they are tired of having bodybags come home from dead soliders. If the irqi people wnat democracy so bad, they can fight for it themselfs.

Actually they don't. Some people, and you don't have to be a liberal to think this, feel that since the advent of DNA has caused many on death row to be proven innocent that the death penalty should be put on hiatus until a better system is devised for the criteria. Some just don't believe in murdering another human being, they think that's God's job. Hmmm...isn't that the war cry of the pro-lifers?
Believing that we are not properly addressing the real War on Terror doesn't equate to cutting and running. It means there are people who see the current way clearly is not working and that there needs to be changes in our policies and the way we are dealing (or not dealing) with terrorists. No one supports or sympathizes with terrorism, their party affliation is immaterial. It's a terrible thing to accuse your fellow Americans of sympathizing with terrorists simply because they differ in opinion as to how to deal with them. You should be ashamed of yourself.

You have no right at all to say I sympathize with terrorists? Do you know me? Your Beloved President Bush not only let the Bin Laden family fly out of the US when all planes were grounded after 9/11, is close friends with the Saudi Royal family who gouges our country with high oil prices, but he also wanted to hand the security of our seaports over to a Dubai based company, now, WHO is a terrorist sympathizer?!
