child please have a good clean cook clean them 4 you even the pre cleaned kind not 2 b rude but you cant "learn on people" with sea food and chitterlings that may give people a bad impression of you cause i know what i think right now and i dont even know you i mean u on yahoo answers with this it looks bad and maybe you already know this but (I'M NOT BEING MEAN) I'm not ashamed of what i eat as a black women i have alot of Friends from 3 world country's OK you eat what you can and pray over it cause you don't know what peoples cooking habits are dont set your self up like that especially if your a real good cook cause nasty people will make every one around them look nasty like them.(cooking 4 the churchy church folks OK) don't fell bad (child please we all know what lascivious adult behavior happens at fast food places in the hood iv seen it 4 myself OK that's why i don't eat out alot and when i do i pray and go about my way)

I do not eat them, but others in my family do, and I have to cook them.
1) clean them good
-let them thaw
-fill your sink full of water, and clean off the membrane it should feel like a geltain in your hand
2) wash them three times, to make sure all of it is clean
3) put them in a pot with one onion, couple of cloves of garlic some salt and pepper, and boil them until tender
DO NOT OVER COOK THEM, THEY WILL BECOME AS TOUGH AS RUBBER BANDS.
