Nativity by Fra Angelico is an early example of the European use of linear perspective. Linear perspective is the illusion of three dimensions created by receding lines. The lines of the shed poles and the horizontal parts of the architecture come together at a vanishing point where the eye is drawn. The vanishing point's location helps focus attention on the main subject of the painting, the birth of Christ.

Fra Angelico's Nativity can be divided geometrically into triangles, perspective lines, and golden sections and other shapes. First, the painting contains two squares side-by-side.

In nature you can use symmetry of leaves or angles of branches, etc.

In architecture blueprints would work as well as finding some pictures of modern buildings and talking about their lines, etc.

And in art you could find something from cubism .

Hope that helps.
