It depends on what dominant genes are present in each horse. If both horses have dominant brown genes and one horse has a dominant grey and the other recessive, the chances are you will end up with a brown horse. I'm not sure if you are familiar with the biology chi square or not. This is a chart that gives you what chances you have at having a specific color.

I'm not sure if you are familiar with the genetics on baby colours or not. The news recently reported twins. One white and one black. Every so often, you hear a man accusing his wife of having an affair even though she hadn't. This is because they are both white and the wife gives birth to a black baby. If you go back through the geneology of these couples, you can find way way back, a white person and a black person came together and had a baby during the times that this was considered outlandish in every sense of the word.

So when you ask what color of foal you think you will get, this is quite impossible to tell without knowing the history of the two horses. And then, at most, I could only give you a probability of the outcome.

That's always a fun one. My mom had a horse who's father was grey, mother was black. All her siblings were grey... She ended up being the only black one. If this mare and stallion are bred togeather frequently, check to see the other offspring (obviously we were expecting my moms horse to turn grey, but it never happened!). Naturally horses are not born white (as you probably know, with the exception of one breed in the world). There is always a chance you could have one that may NOT turn gray, however the chances of that with two grey parents is VERY slim, almost impossible. Find out the color of the parents when they were foals. I'm sure that will give you a clue as to what color your foal will be, however be prepaired for changes as it gets older!

That will depend on the ancestry of both.
