By continuously open, I mean 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays. Many 24 hour grocery stores will close on a holiday, so those would not count.

I'm looking for the same for-profit business, operating in the same location, that never closes, regardless of how the ownership of that business changes over the years, or their product offerings - just as long as they never put up a "closed" sign.

I live on the East coast New York to be exact and we have stores called "7-eleven" They are really just like a gas station with and without gas, or like a convenience store. They NEVER close, and by never I mean NEVER they are open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, no joke, they re even open on holidays. I worked at one in high school and I remember a power outage and they still stayed open through the entire thing which lasted 4 hours.

How about the service plazas along the interstates? They have contracts to be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year round. Some of them are still in their original buildings. I know HMS Host operates many of these, and they bought out that portion of Howard Johnson's many years ago. You would have to determine if a given location has ever actually completely closed.
