I can only surmise this is what I'm going through during the night
and am see in the Dr. tomorrow a.m. When I'm in a deep sleep I
will roll over and onto my arm, thus not knowing I've done this &
wake up with my arm frozen, (it feels that way) swollen, 3 min. &
no circulation or movement of my fingers! I have high blood pressure & take 3 meds per day. After reading my Medical Book
have concluded the blood in our arteries, veins, capillaries that is
composed of red & white cells, blood platelets & plasma that brings oxygen & nutriments 2 all tissues and transports away carbon dioxide & other wastes, 1's not doing it's job, thus cutting off our blood supply like an elastic would. I wish I knew his age
sounds young but I'm 50 & never knew another who had this b 4.
Please get a Dr. appt A.S.P. This sounds Serious! I hope I have
helped your question & please let me know how he is after Dr.

Nothing really bad is happening. This simply means the way he sleeps is cutting off his blood circulation. He probably sleeps with his head on top of his arm or with his arm tucked under him. You have to be aware of the position he sleeps in. Tell him this, if nothing changes, the doctor can help.

It's a way to get mom's attention and it's working. He's probably sleeping on it sometimes, or even once and told you and you reacted in a pleasurable way (to him). The fact that he knew to ''shake it'' to get the blood flowing tells you he has dealt with this on his own already. Next time it happens, tell him that his arm feels that way because there is a lack of blood in his arm, and that it's no big deal, just shake it himself and it will feel better.

It is porbibly because he is sleeping on it causing less blood flow to his arm. Because of this there will be less nutrients and oxygen flowing to his arm. This causes his arm to go numb. When you shake it it helps it "wake back up" and more blood flows to his arm hence the numbness stops. That is the most likely answer, but possibly it is another problem. I hope i could help^_^

I know that i got it too most of the time, i forgot the name of it.
How do check you doctor just to make sure.
What is it? it that your body or is on top of it a long period of time.
I have that with my arm as well, for me it have one arm under the pollow and it got numb (dead leg or arm or any part of the body)
Here is something you would try yourself you understand, similar by across your arm or leg in front on the TV or seating in chair. When finish open out, you will feel it, then you will starting to shake ot rubble it. to make the blood flow back up again.
It all due to blood flow in the blood stream.
I hope the help. reply back if it work or help you out

Does he sleep with his head resting on his arm or perhaps his arm is in an awkward position.
Try having him sleep with his arms lying down straight and see if that helps.

Take him to a chiropractor. It's not uncommon to limbs to fall asleep if your back's out of alignment. My left arm does it all the time after I've done something stupid.

He is probably sleeping in a weird position and the blood stopped flowing to his arm because of it.
