They are called hosts.

You need to contact the agency that is in charge of that campground. Sometimes that is the county or city, but more often it is the state.

Most places I've been, they are called hosts. If you have a specific campground you're interested in, you could contact them directly. Otherwise, look on the DNR website for whichever state. The site itself may not have the info you're looking for, but it should have some kind of contact information for someone who could point you in the right direction.

What state are you looking to work in? Most positions are just called state crew members or park attendants, or Volunteers. As a volunteer, you get free hookups. Check out Vermont (see attached).

In Illinois, they are called campground hosts. I would suggest calling the Department of Natural Resources in the state where you are interested.
