This is why mutual funds suck. While mutual funds were taking a beating, I was able to hedge some of it by buying puts on ETFs.
Further, I had puts on a few other stocks that helped reduce the damage in other positions. Tomorrow, I'll look to continue to rebalance my portfolio as well.

We specialize in penny stocks trading under $5/share for our members. They can be much more volatile, however for investors who have a cheap discount broker such as Scottrade, can make some great money in this market. It is important when daytrading or even short term investing to have a cheap online broker so that your commission costs are low and you can enter a trade and then exit and keep more of the profits for your wallet!
Overall our picks have been steady today surprisingly with all the panic. Seems the mid and large caps are more affected than the markets we specialize in. We made over 30% on Delta Air Lines since our alert friday to play the bounce at .50 going into the close.
Happy trading!

I am down 2.5% (a few hundred bucks), but I'm excited because I bought some things I'd already had my eye on--after they each dropped 1-2%. :-) Tomorrow is going to be nice; if the market adjusts back up, I'll make a quick sale and make a few hundred bucks.
Note-most of my "real" investments are in index funds, and I make additions at the end of each month. So tomorrow, when I automatically make my monthly investment (assuming the market stays down), I'll be buying low! Perfect timing.

Too much! I had a feeling that a correction was going to come soon and had been planning to temporarily take my money out of my mutual funds some time in the next week or two....looked like I just missed the boat, on this one! Didn't expect the market correction to come as soon or nearly as SUDDEN as it did!

Hopefully nothing because I didn't sell or buy anything, I might have seen my "paper profits" decline but I don't think in such short-term valuations. I expect the market will recover - maybe tomorrow, next week, next month, or next year - and then I will not care a fig about what happened on February 27th 2007.

Yeah, I just got online and saw that the market dropped over 400 points-ouch! Fortunately, it's not like I need the money tomorrow morning, so I'm not going to depress myself by figuring out my loss today.
